Sad news today. Former Bowie State basketball player Rasheem King died on Wednesday morning. Bowie State released a statement on the 24-year-old’s death;

It is with great sadness that our beloved former Bulldogs’ basketball player Rasheem King lost his fight with Sarcoma early this (Wednesday) morning. The Department of Athletics and the entire Bowie State University family thank you for your thoughts, prayers and financial donations. Final arrangements have not been determined at this time …

Rest in Peace Rasheem … Once a Bulldog … Always a Bulldog!

Last month we told you about BSU raising money to help with King’s expenses as he was treated for cancer in New York. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the Bowie State family.
