Virginia State (18-7, 12-4) vs. Fayetteville State (15-12, 8-8) 1 pm

Regular season meeting: VSU won 75-61 (01/03)

Streaks: VSU won its last game, FSU has won two in a row

What to watch: This game features two of the CIAA’s best guard’s, FSU’s Josh Dawson and VSU’s Lamar Kearse. Both are All-CIAA selections  and capable of getting hot at any time.

Bowie State (21-7, 13-3) vs. Chowan (15-12, 8-8) 3 pm

Regular season: Bowie State 58-57 (1/24), BSU 70-55 (2/14)

Streaks: Bowie State has won three in a row, Chowan has won two in a row

What to watch for: CIAA Player of the Year Cameron Knox struggled heavily in the team’s first to games, shooting 3-for-20 with just nine points. He went off for 20 points in the second game, as Bowie rolled. If Chowan can stop Knox, they’ve got a chance.

Livingstone (16-9, 10-6) vs. Lincoln (16-10, 10-6) 7 pm

Regular season: Lincoln 69-64 (01/05)

Streaks: Livingstone has won two in a row, Lincoln has lost one

Winston-Salem State (16-9, 9-7) vs. Shaw (13-15, 6-10) 9 PM

Regular season: Winston-Salem 74-69 (01/21), WSSU 71-67 (02/11)

Streaks: WSSU has lost its last game, Shaw has won its last two

What to watch for: Shaw committed 40 turnovers in its two games against WSSU, and still had a chance late. WSSU is coming off a draining loss against Livingstone. If Shaw can jump out to an early lead and hold on to the ball, they have a shot.
