Report: Bethune-Cookman’s leading scorer transferring to Chicago State

Clemmye Owens decided a losing team in Chicago was better than a losing one in Florida. Owens, Bethune-Cookman’s leading scorer this season, has decided to transfer to Chicago State according to Prep Hoops Ohio.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Owens and backup guard Tony Kynard reportedly decided to transfer earlier this week. Owens averaged 15.3 points per game for BCU, who got off to a 4-9 start with Owens on the court. Chicago State isn’t any better, coming into the weekend with a record of 4-13.

A move to Chicago State would put the Toledo, OH native closer to home. Owens was a MEAC All-Rookie selection in 2014.
