MEAC Preview and Picks: Mixed Level of Competition For Week Three

Bowie State at Morgan State

Morgan State may be 0-2, but its doubtful that their are as many teams with that record that can feel as good about themselves at the FCS level. Between a near-misses at FBS Eastern Michigan and fellow FCS member Holy Cross, the Lee Hull era has gotten off to a promising start.

Morgan will open up its home schedule against neighboring Bowie State. Due to playing in separate divsions, these two schools haven’t met since 2010. Morgan escaped with a 14-7 win that night.

This one could be close as well, as BSU quarterback Matt Goggans (former NCCU QB) has a solid arm and decent receivers to throw to as well as talented running back Keith Brown.

Gameday Pick: Morgan State

Towson at Delaware State
UNC-Charlotte at North Carolina Central
South Carolina State at Coastal Carolina
Elon at North Carolina A&T
Hampton at Richmond
Fort Valley State at Savannah State
Norfolk State at William and Mary
Grambling at Bethune-Cookman
