Roll Call: HBCU Alumni In NFL Camps

With the entire NFL now involved in training camp, we figured it was as good a time as any to take a look at which HBCU alumni were in NFL Camps. According to our count, 69 former HBCU stars are currently participating in training camp action.

The program with the most players in NFL Camps as of late July is Hampton with seven, with South Carolina State just behind at six players. Four teams tied for the lead with five players each: Titans, Redskins, Giants and Seahawks.

Of the 67 players on this list, 18 are rookies. Only two out of those 21, Tennessee State’s Kadeem Edwards and Demetrius Rhaney, were selected in May’s NFL Draft.
