Twelve HBCU Players Named Preseason FCS All-Americans

The start of the college football season is less than two months away, and preseason accolades are starting to roll in. The Sports Network announced their FCS All-American team today with twelve HBCU players on the list, including three first-teamers.

Norfolk State linebacker Lynden Trail, Tennessee State defensive back Daniel Fitzpatrick and North Carolina Central punt returner Adrian Wilkins were all named first-team All-American.

Second Team

K Anthony Provost, Hampton
DT Rodney Gunter, Delaware State
CB Darrin Marrow, Norfolk State

Third Team

OL Jonathan Smith, Jackson State
OL Domanic Wilson, SC State
DE Anthony Bass, Tennessee State
CB Avery Boykin, Mississippi Valley
S Julien David, Howard
P Corey Carter, Texas Southern
