After a big turnaround in 2012, Howard University football took a step backward in 2013. Howard released its 2014 schedule today, highlighted by home games against North Carolina A&T, arch-rival Hampton and homecoming against FAMU on October 14.
Howard will also play rival Morehouse in the Nation’s Classic.
The Bison are hoping to regain that momentum with coach Gary “Flea” Harrell back at the helm in 2014. Harrell sat out last season for personal reasons and the team saw its’ record drop from 7-4 in 2012 to 6-6 in 2013.
“I am very excited about our home schedule,” said Harrell. “We have NC A&T, FAMU for homecoming, an always tough Delaware State and finally Hampton in the Battle of the Real HU to close out the season.”
