JCSU held Livingstone’s Jody Hill to 14 points, including this soaring dunk. |
Saturday night’s Johnson C. Smith-Livingstone showdown illustrated why “Brayboy Madness” is not just a catchy slogan. It was personified all night long. I arrived with about 10 minutes left in the second half of the women’s game, and had to wait with a crowd of at least fifty people who weren’t able to go in because the gym had already been filled to capacity.
Once I navigated through the crowd and got into the gym, I realized there really wasn’t much room to maneuver around inside the gym. It was packed with a sizable number of both JCSU and Livingstone fans. The atmosphere was electric from the end of the women’s game all the way through the men’s game, which JCSU won 76-73. It was a spirited and eventful night both on and off the court.
