A scrappy Delaware State team rebounded from a big first half deficit to scare North Carolina Central, but that wasn’t enough as NCCU pulled away for a 62-52 win. Jeremy Ingram scored 11 of his 20 points in the second half, as the Eagles saw a lead that ballooned to as much as 14 late in the second half evaporate as DSU briefly took a 39-38 lead and the teams tied at 42 a few minutes later. NCCU (11-5, 2-1) would outscore DSU 20-10 the rest of the way to wrap up the win.
