RALEIGH– Last season North Carolina Central turned heads around the MEAC with a 22-win season. After beating North Carolina State 82-72 on Wednesday night, NCCU looks poised to make some noise on the national level.
Senior guard Jeremy Ingram scored 29 points as the Eagles picked up the biggest win of their short-Division I tenure, stunning the crowd at PNC Arena. After a late NC State three forced overtime, NCCU scored the first 10 points in extra period to take command of the game for good.
