Jonathan Booker, Howard

The Bison lost the game, but the sophomore from Winston-Salem had a big game. Booker had 10 catches for 154 yards and three touchdowns.

Defensive Player of The Week
Deon King, Norfolk State

King had a monster game for Norfolk State. Three of his eight tackles went for loss, all of them sacks, resulting in a loss of 24 yards for Savannah State.

Rookie of The Week
Dondre Lewis-Freeman

Lewis-Freeman followed up his big performance against Hampton with a solid effort, rushing for 70 yard and one touchdown against a good NC A&T defense.

Coach of The Week
Dwayne Foster, NC Central

Foster’s team was outgained by nearly 200 yards, gave up over 300 yards passing and still won the game, thanks to special teams heroics. On a personal note, the interim coach picked up a win in his hometown of Washington, DC.
