North Carolina A&T football is coming off a one-win season, but that didn’t stop it from selling out homecoming football tickets super fast.
Single-game tickets went on sale for North Carolina A&T’s Oct. 19 matchup against Hampton University at 12:00 AM on Monday morning. The single-game tickets sold out by lunch time.
No official statement has been released but a visit to Ticket Return, which NCAT uses to sell single-game tickets, shows reserved and general admission tickets sold out for the homecoming game in addition to the tailgate lot. Truist Stadium’s capacity is listed as 21,500.
North Carolina A&T’s 2023 football season was a challenging one as it transitioned into the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
Under the new head coach, Vincent Brown, the Aggies aimed to make a mark but faced significant hurdles. They ended the season with a disappointing 1-10 record, struggling especially in conference play where they went winless. Despite some standout individual performances, such as the win against Norfolk State, overall team consistency was an issue. The season concluded with a loss to Campbell, highlighting areas for improvement in the upcoming years.
The Aggies 2024 season will kick off with a game against local ACC school Wake Forest on Aug. 29 before playing historic rival Winston-Salem State on Sept. 7. The matchup between the two Triad HBCU football programs is highly anticipated and Winston-Salem State sold its ticket allotment of 300 tickets in around an hour on Friday afternoon. North Carolina A&T will also host Delaware on Sept. 14, William & Mary on Nov. 2, and Elon on Nov. 23.
