Jackson State looks to leave no doubt in SWAC Tourney

Jackson State and Prairie View A&M are set to battle in this SWAC Tournament quarterfinal on Wednesday evening at Bartow Arena. JSU comes into the tournament with a perfect record against SWAC opponents, but it learned last year that doesn’t guarantee a tournament title as it fell to eventual champion Southern last year in the semifinals.

The Lady Panthers suffered a defeat at the hands of the Lady Tigers in their last head-to-head encounter at William Nicks Building in March 2024, with a final score of 75-65.

The Lady Tigers aim to boost their defensive activity and reverse a concerning trend from their recent five games, where they’ve been averaging just 4.6 steals per contest. This marks a drop from their season average of 7.8 steals.

Prairie View A&M | OVR 11-16 | SWAC 7-10 (8th) | NEUTRAL 0-0
