Jackson State wins close one over Alcorn State

Jackson State snapped Alcorn State’s three-game win streak on Saturday afternoon, handing it a 62-54 loss at Davey L. Whitney Health & Physical Education Complex. The Lady Tigers went into halftime with a 28-20 lead and were able to hold off the Lady Braves for the final 20 minutes.

Angel Jackson scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the way for Jackson State. The Lady Tigers’ offense was able to overcome shooting struggles in this one, accumulating their 62 points on 38% shooting from the field.
