Former NCA&T track standout races in Usain Bolt’s Final Diamond League Race

After turning pro in between heats at the USATF Outdoor Championships back in June, former North Carolina A&T track star Chris Belcher is roughly one month into his pro career and is already running against the fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt, in one of the final heats of his career.

Belcher made his way into the IAAF Diamond league in Monaco and he found himself only a few lanes away from Usain Bolt in the 100 meters. This was Bolt’s final Diamond League event of his illustrious career, he is putting his track career behind him after the world championships in London next month.

Bolt won the race with a sub ten second time, Belcher finished the race 7th with a time of 10.12, but is leaving with an experience that will last a lifetime.
