Texas Southern softball is headed back to the the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years this weekend.
The SWAC champs will play Texas A&M in the College Station Region starting on Friday after knocking off defending champ Alabama State 6-4 on Saturday, going 4-1 in the SWAC Tournament.
“We’re extremely excited to get a chance to compete at a venue close enough for our fans to be able to come out and support us,” TSU head coach Worley Barker said via theswac.org. “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our program and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
TxSU, 25-19, will face TxAMU on Friday night at 6:30 PM (CST) on ESPN3.
