College basketball is in full swing, and there is one women’s team in HBCU hoops that stands above all others. Virginia Union is currently 13-0 and ranked third in NCAA Division II women’s basketball.
VUU isn’t just undefeated, it’s dominating the competition. In a tough CIAA that features a total of five teams with at least 10 wins, VUU has won its four conference games by an average of over 30 points per game.
The Panthers went 28-3 last season, but had to replace NCAA Division II Player in The Year in Kiana Johnson. Lady Walker has been solid down low and Brittany Jackson has helped put up points in bunches as the team looks to defend its CIAA crown.
