FCS Offensive Player of The Week 

DeVante Kincade, Grambling: The former Ole Miss star is having his way with the SWAC, completing 30 of 42 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns while adding 58 yards rushing with a touchdown as Grambling took down Alcorn State.

Other standouts:

Caleb York, South Carolina State: 21-for-38 passing, 238 yards and four touchdowns vs. FAMU

Ramon Simpson, NCCU: 97 yards, 2 TDs vs. Norfolk State

Lenard Tillery, Southern: 179 yards rushing and two touchdowns, two catches for 75 yards and a touchdown

Austin Howard, Southern: 17-for-26 passing for 280 yards and five touchdowns vs. Alabama A&M

Anthony Wiltz, Prairie View: 151 all-purpose yards, three touchdowns vs. Mississippi Valley State


FCS Defensive Player of The Week

Marquis Smith, Savannah State: Savannah State picked up perhaps its biggest win since turning D1, beating MEAC power Bethune-Cookman in overtime. Smith had 12 tackles, three tackles for loss including 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Other Standouts

Keo Anderson, Jackson State: Six tackles, three sacks vs. UAPB

Terrence Single, Prairie View: Seven tackles, two interceptions vs. Mississippi Valley

Greg Gibson, Morgan State: 13 tackles, four for loss including a sack vs. Howard

NCAA Division II

Offensive Player of The Week

Amir Hall, Bowie State: The redshirt-freshman quarterback went 32 for 45 passing, throwing for 346 yards and four touchdowns vs. Shaw. Not bad for a guy who wasn’t supposed to be the starter until an injury to Nyema Washington thrust him into the starting lineup.

Other Standouts

Kevin Lacey, Tuskegee: 16 for 24 passing, 218 yards and 2 TDs, 61 yards rushing, 1 TD
William Stanback, Virginia Union: 199 yards and 3 TDs
Te’Vaughn Hurse, Winston-Salem State: 187 yards and 1 TD

Defensive Player of The Week

Edward Kirkland, Benedict: Kirkland led a ball-hawking Benedict defense that picked off Fort Valley State’s Domontay Jones four times. He had five tackles and two interceptions, one he returned for a 47-yard touchdown.
