Former NCCU Football DB Ryan Smith is one of the most-talked about small-school prospects in this year’s draft class. We’ve had the pleasure for following him throughout his career at NCCU, including this standout performance against North Carolina A&T in 2014.
A second-team All-MEAC performer in 2015, Smith’s size–6’0, 190– and athleticism have made him very popular with scouts. Scouts from 26 NFL teams rolled up to Durham to watch Smith and others during NCCU’s pro day on Wednesday. At least 10 NFL teams will get an up-close-and-personal look at Smith between now and May, according to National Football Post.
Look out for more on Smith as the draft approaches.
