Fresh off their impressive SWAC Tournament run, Southern now knows where it will land in the NCAA Tournament. Southern (22-12) was awarded the no. 16 seed in the West Regional and will take on Holy Cross in the First round. The winner will play no. 1 seed Oregon in Spokane, Washington.

Southern last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2013 when they nearly knocked off top-seeded Gonzaga, ultimately falling short. They did, however, complete the famed upset against Georgia Tech in 1993.
