Winston=Salem State’s Marquise Gaddy out of halo three months after breaking neck

Less than four months after breaking his neck in practice, Winston-Salem State defensive back Marquise Gaddy’s recovery has hit a happy milestone. The halo doctors gave Gaddy following his Sept. 23 injury has been taken off.

Gaddy posted the photo above on his Instagram page early Thursday morning.

The freshman from Charlotte suffered the injury just days before the team’s fourth game of the season against Elizabeth City State. WSSU dedicated the game to him, and wore decals with his number, 28, for the rest of the season.
