Deon King has been one of the best-kept secrets in FCS football. Hopefully we won’t be able to say that much longer.
The Norfolk State linebacker has accepted a bid to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on January 23.

King has been one of the top players on a perennially sound defensive squad at Norfolk State. He previously played in the shadow of Lynden Trail, but had a breakout year in 2015. King finished with 163 tackles, averaging 14.8 per game, both of which were the best in the FCS when the Spartans finished their season.
For his career, the 6’1, 225 pound linebacker had 372 tackles, including 52.5 for loss.
