Texas Southern will be looking for a new head football coach.
Darrell Asberry has stepped down after four seasons, according to KHou.com.
“Over the course of the past four years, Coach Asberry has been a true professional and someone I will always call a friend,” TSU athletic director Charles McClelland said. “We wish him well in all of his future endeavors.”
Asberry had success at Division II Shaw before coming to Houston, but was never able to replicate that. He went 12-31 during his tenure at Texas Southern, including a 3-7 finish this season.
