Johnson C. Smith investigating head coach after he allegedly denied players a pre-game meal

Johnson C. Smith is getting a lot of attention at the moment, but not for its upcoming game against Bowie State.
JCSU head football coach Kermit Blount is currently under investigation after players say he denied them a pre-game meal prior to playing an away game against Virginia Union last Saturday.
“The University takes very seriously the health and well-being of our student-athletes,” JCSU said in a statement. “ The Athletics Department is currently investigating these allegations to determine what happened and taking steps to ensure proper procedure is understood and followed.”

Blount is in his first season at JCSU after coaching at Delaware State and Winston-Salem State previously. JCSU lost its matchup with Virginia Union and is currently 1-3.
