Norfolk State and Hampton is one of the best rivalries in HBCU sports, not just football. The two Virginia schools are located less than half an hour away from each other and are competitive in just about everything. It’s been that way since they were both in the CIAA and the rivalry has continued as both schools jumped to the MEAC 20 years ago.
Saturday’s game was a soggy on, with Norfolk State coming out on top of Hampton with a 24-14 win. HBCU Gameday photographer Michael Peele was at Dick Price Stadium on Saturday to capture the action.
