Nearly eight months after being hired as Florida A&M’s football coach, Alex Wood is officially under contract. Wood’s contract has been officially approved by the school’s Board of Trustees, according to Tallahassee.com’s Jordan Culver.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js The contract is for three years, at $200,000 per year, but is also loaded with incentives that could pay Wood more. Those incentives include:
-A winning-season his first year = $10.000
-A single-year APR above 950 = $20,000 to dispurse among staff
-A courtesy car or an extra $850 per month
-A nine-win season adds another year to his deal
Wood was hired as FAMU’s football coach on Dec. 23, but the death of interim AD Nelson Townsend and delays due to contract clauses slowed things up. He’s already started his first camp with the Rattlers as they look to rebound from a 3-9 season in 2014.
