A&T hoops’ Bruce Beckford recovering after on-campus stabbing

A North Carolina A&T basketball player is recovering after being stabbed over the weekend. Junior forward Bruce Beckford was stabbed around 3 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot, according to MyFox.com.

“The University Police Department is continuing its investigation of the stabbing that occurred on campus early Sunday morning,” the school said in a release.

“Our concern for the victim is focused on his recovery and his ability return to school to complete his studies. Any other considerations are secondary right now and will be addressed at the appropriate time.

Beckford averaged a team-high 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 2014-15.
