Too Big, Too Deep, Too Rich: Hampton succumbs to Kentucky in NCAA Tournament

It was them against the world, and Hampton knew it. Kentucky beat Hampton 79-56 on Thursday night to advance to the Round of 32, keeping UK undefeated and ending Hampton’s season.

// Despite running jokes about how many points they would lose by, the Pirates actually took a brief lead early in the game. It wouldn’t last long, though, as the superior team woke up and left no doubt as to why they are the favorites to win it all.

// Hampton finishes the season 17-18, with a MEAC Championship and an NCAA win underneath its belt.
