SWAC football may have all of the attention right now, but hoops season is right around the corner. The conference announced its annual preseason awards and predictions, and Alabama State looks to be the clear favorite heading into the 2014-15 season.
Alabama State returns every starter from last year’s 19-13 squad. Headlining the returnees is SWAC Preseason Player of the Year LeAntwan Luckett and Preseason Defensive POY Luther Page. Both players were joined on the preseason first-team by forward Bobby Brown.
