Recap: A&T Overwhelms Hampton 31-14 On ESPNU

A week after rolling a doughnut in the Atlanta Football Classic, North Carolina A&T found its stride on Thursday night thanks to big plays. A&T beat Hampton 31-14 on Thursday night thanks largely to several big plays by running back Tarik Cohen and Desmond Lawrence.

Hampton got on the board first, via a Jaylan Williamson pass to TJ Mixon.

A&T quickly responded with a 68 yard pass from Hassan Klugh to Cohen.

Hampton’s Jorrian Washington added another touchdown, giving his team 14-7 lead heading into halftime.

A&T struck quickly after halftime, as Cohen got loose for another big run, giving his team a 20-14 lead.

And then Desmond Lawrence put the nail in the coffin with this score on a reverse.
