The NFL Draft is over, but that doesn’t mean teams are through adding rookies. Many prospects like Winston-Salem State’s Carlos Fields and Jackson State’s Qua Cox ended up with NFL teams via the Underground Railroad aka undrafted free agency.
Despite their talent level, it seems as though UDFA is pretty much the only way most HBCU players will ever wind up in the NFL. We talked to Fields about the process. Listen to what he had to say in the podcast above.
