Less than six months after being fired as coach of his alma mater, Doug Williams has renewed his relationship with another franchise. Football Scoop is reporting that Williams will be named a personnel executive with the Washington Redskins. Williams played for the Redskins in the mid-1980s, leading them to a win in Super Bowl XXII.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Williams’ return to the NFL comes after a high-profile, ugly dismissal from his second stint as head coach of Grambling State last fall. Williams previously served in an NFL front office with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who drafted him out of Grambling in 1978.
