HBCU Signing Day Spotlight: Out Of State Players Highlight Early Jackson State Signees

Much like NCCU’s Jerry Mack, Harold Johnson probably hasn’t sat down much since getting the Jackson State job. He had even less time to get his bearings for Signing Day as he was officially announced Jan. 13.

An early look at his recruiting hall shows that Jackson has been and his staff have spent a lot of time outside the state of Mississippi. There’s the Indianapolis quarterback/running back duo of Brent Lyles and Derrick Wilkerson as well as Maryland defensive back Demory Moore and Minnesota’s Robert Moore. His biggest catch, however, may have been keeping Georgia’s Hector Stanback in the fold.
