Both North Carolina A&T and Howard came into this season with strong, but unseasoned talent. The two teams met up in DC on Monday night and Howard came out on top with a 68-60 win.
James Daniel, the MEAC’s leading scorer, led Howard with 23 points. Daniel is one of eight freshman on Howard’s team. NC A&T has 10 freshmen. It was a spirited game between two of the MEAC’s marquee schools. Both have had their ups-and-downs this season, but young players like Daniel and A&T’s Khary Doby give both these programs hope for the future.
