Former ECU Signee Headed To Hampton

Much of the success Connell Maynor experienced at Winston-Salem State was due to his ability to import Division I transfers to his program. It looks like the new Hampton coach is up to his old tricks again. Linebacker Treshawn Council, who originally signed with East Carolina out of high school in 2011, tweeted that he has accepted an offer from Hampton.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Council was a part of the 2010 Durham (NC) Hillside team that won a State Championship. He anchored the defense while Vad Lee headlined the offense. He enrolled in a couple of junior colleges after failing to qualify at ECU.

Council will join a Hampton team that gave up 30 points and over 400 yards per game in 2013.
