2017 HBCU Draft/UDFA Tracker

The NFL Draft is over but player movement is still on going. Four HBCU prospects heard their names called over the past three days, the most since 2011, and several more will be signing as undrafted free agents. Check this link often over the next few days as it will be updated with new signings.

Drafted

1. Chad Williams, Grambling State: Selected in the third round (98th overall) by the Arizona Cardinals.
2. Tarik Cohen, North Carolina A&T: Selected in the fourth round (119th overall) by the Chicago Bears
3. Grover Stewart, Albany State: Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) by the Indianapolis Colts.
4. Jylan Ware, Alabama State: Selected in the seventh round (232nd overall) by the Oakland Raiders

Undrafted Free Agents

1. Ezra Robinson, Tennessee State: Cornerback signed as UDFA with Jacksonville Jaguars
2. Zavian Bingham, Jackson State: Defensive back signed as UDFA with Baltimore Ravens
3. Jessamen Dunker, Tennessee State: Offensive lineman signed as UDFA with the New York Giants
4. Jac’Que Polite, Winston-Salem State: Offensive lineman signed as UDFA with the Buffalo Bills
5. Verlan Hunter, Grambling: Wide receiver signed as a UDFA with the Washington Redskins
6. Roderick Henderson, Alabama State: Defensive lineman signed as a UDFA with the Tennessee Titans
7. Javancy Jones, Jackson State: LB/DE signed as a UDFA with the Arizona Cardinals
8. Dan Williams, Jackson State: Wide receiver signed as a UDFA with the Oakland Raiders
9. Jaques Bryant, FAMU: Safety signed as a UDFA with the Kansas City Chiefs

Minicamp Invite/Tryout

1. Kevin Kenton, Tennessee State: Offensive lineman invited to New York Jets minicamp
2. Ronald Butler, Tennessee State: QB/Athlete earns invite to Seattle Seahawks
3. Derrick Griffin, Texas Southern: TE/WR invited to try out for Vikings
4. Rodeshawn Joseph, Virginia Union: DB invited to try out for Broncos

  1. Jackson State had all that talent, but still failed to win its division. Amazing. For Derrick Griffin's sake, I hope his mini camp invite turns into an invite to pre-season camp. Otherwise, leaving the basketball team early will look foolish.
