Last season, Robert Covington won MVP of the NBA D-League’s All-Star Game. The Sixers forward won’t be in the NBA All-Star game this year, but the former Tennessee State star will participate in All-Star Weekend.
Robert Covington will replace teammate Michael Carter-Williams in the Rising Stars Challenge, according to source.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Covington played just seven games as a rookie in 2014, spending most of the season in the D-League. He was called up by the Sixers early in the season and has been one of the team’s best players, averaging 13.2 points per game and shooting 39 points from behind the three-point line.
Not bad for a guy who didn’t get picked in the 2013 NBA Draft.
