Atlanta, Ga.–In the 86th meeting of the Atlanta University Center neighboring schools, the Morehouse Maroon Tigers claimed a 20-7 win over Clark Atlanta University at Panther Stadium Saturday.
The Maroon Tigers (4-1, SIAC 2-0) garnered 420 yards on offense with 243 passing yards led by quarterback Monqavious Johnson who finished with 179 yards on 8-of-16 attempts and a one-yard touchdown run early in the second.
With a touchdown in each of the subsequent quarters, both by Malik Johnson (22-yards and 4-yards), the Maroon Tigers opened a 20-point margin with 7:21 remaining in the game. Clark Atlanta (1-4, SIAC 0-3) quarterback Trenton Earl completed a 25-yard passing touchdown to Matthew Daniels to put the Panthers on the board at the 5:22 mark, but that would be as close as they would get to the lead.
