Taiwan hooper Warren Yeh headed to HBCU

HBCU Alabama A&M has secured a commitment from a basketball star from Taiwan – Warren Yeh.

Yeh announced his commitment to the SWAC school on April 2 after spending a post-graduation year at Bridgeton Academy in 2023-2024.

“Thank you to my family for supporting me all the way, allowing me the opportunity to step onto such a special stage. During this special year at @BridgtonHoops, I have learned a lot from @WhitLesure and am very grateful for his guidance throughout this year,” Yeh tweeted with a graphic announcing his commitment.

Warren Yeh grew up in a basketball home in Taiwan as both his parents played basketball.

“My mom is a shooter and I learned a lot from her,” Yeh told Pro Insight late last year.

Warren Yeh went on to say that environment and fit were two factors he was considering in finding a college moving forward. He admits he’s still learning English, but he’s well-versed in basketball. The 6’5 guard will now be taking his talents to an HBCU, looking to help Alabama A&M compete in the SWAC. AAMU won 11 games in the 2023-2024 season, but did win a game in the College Insider.com Tournament following the SWAC Tournament last month.
