Grambling football player shot, brother killed in New Orleans

Darrell Clark, a senior member of the Grambling State football team was shot along with his younger brother Wednesday night in New Orleans.

Clark is in stable condition, however according to the News-Star, his brother did not make it.

Grambling’s tight ends coach Darrell Kitchen told the paper that the two brothers had just finished playing basketball and were in a car when the shooting took place.

“We’re always concerned with the safety and success of our students, whether they’re student-athletes or not,” Gallot told the News-Star. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Clark family as they deal with this tragedy. I don’t know the particulars of the incident, but on behalf of the university, the GramFam, the Clarks are and continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.”

Our thoughts and prayers are also with Clark and his family.
