After months of waiting, March Madness is finally here. Though most years HBCUs are one-and-done in the big dance, every so often, one of them gives the HBCU nation a jolt and pulls off an upset, or at least gives a good team a run for their money. So without further delay, here’s our list.

The Jags had us all on the edge of our seats in 2013.

Kyle O’Quinn was the face of HBCU sports in 2012.

Hopefully, Iowa State will add another entry to this list next year.
