Former Alcorn State basketball player dies from leukemia

Alcorn State is mourning the loss of a young man that played on its basketball team as late as 2010

Jonathan Boyd died after a bout with leukemia.  Boyd played for the Braves from 2008-2010 and finished his career with an average of 10.2 points per game. 

“Our hearts and prayers go out to Jonathan’s family,” the school said in its release.
