For most college basketball teams, conference tournament play is the start of win-or-go home mode. Unfortunately for Lane (TN) College’s women’s basketball team, they won get the chance to win to win. The SIAC announced on Tuesday that Lane will forfeit it’s opening round conference tournament matchup against Clark Atlanta.

“Due to inclement weather, the Lane College women’s basketball team was unable to travel to the 2014 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament. Lane’s opening round contest against Clark Atlanta University has been declared a forfeit, with a 2-0 score in favor of the Lady Panthers. Clark Atlanta advances to play Kentucky State University on Thursday, March 6, at 1:00 p.m.”

Lane went just 1-19 this season, but still, that’s a tough way to end a season.
