2017 ECSU Football Season Tickets to go on Sale, July 1

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Season tickets for the upcoming 2017 football season will go on sale July 1, as announced by the Elizabeth City State University Department of Athletics.

Tickets may be purchased in person at the ECSU Cashiers’ Office, located in the administration building, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., or online atwww.etix.com.

After a 5-5 finish and being named the 2016 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year, head coach Earnest Wilson and the ECSU Vikings will host six games this season; five at Roebuck Stadium and the other in Rocky Mount, N.C. at the Rocky Mount Municipal Stadium. The Vikings open the season up on the road before hosting UNC-Pembroke for Military Appreciation/ECSU Alumni NFL Recognition Day in its home opener (Sept. 9).  ECSU hosts Fayetteville State University for its 20th Annual Down East Viking Football Classic in Rocky Mount, N.C. Saturday, (Sept. 16) before coming back to Roebuck Stadium to face Johnson C. Smith (Sept. 23) for its conference opener.

After a road trip to Durham, the Vikings play host to Virginia State University (Oct. 7) before hosting Lincoln (Pa.) (Oct. 14) for Homecoming. Elizabeth City State travels to Murfreesboro, N.C. and Richmond, Va. before facing Bowie State University for its home season finale (Nov. 4).

“We are looking forward to having an exciting season this year,” said Wilson. “The tempo will be much faster and the guys we have coming back are hungry and ready to put in work, so please come out to support your ECSU football team.”
