NFL stars, HBCU football alumni giving back to kids this summer

Tarik Cohen and Darius Leonard host their own football event camps free of charge.

HBCU football alumni are giving back in big ways.

Former South Carolina State linebacker and rookie linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts, Darius Leonard announced he was hosting Darius “Maniac” Leonard Day. Hosting along with Leonard will be Super Bowl Champion and older brother, Anthony Waters.

The day is planned to be filled with fun activities such as kickball, flag football, a fireworks show and much more.

The event will be held on July 6th, 2018 in Lakeview, South Carolina.

Tarik Cohen is also in on the action. Shortly after donating brand new gym equipment to Hampton Elementary, who suffered damage after a tornado hit Greensboro,  Cohen, who played his college ball at North Carolina A&T recently announced he was hosting an inaugural free football camp.

The camp will be held in Aggie Football stadium, in Greensboro, NC on July 14th, 2018 from 10am-1pm. Anyone from the ages of 5-17 will be allowed to register.
