Watch: Shannon Sharpe dominates college competition at Savannah State

The world was first introduced to Shannon Sharpe as a tight end for the Denver Broncos. But before Sharpe began torching defensive backs in the NFL, he did that and then some at Savannah State. We came across a Youtube clip from Savannah State vs. SIAC rival Fort Valley State in 1988 with Sharpe playing wide receiver as a junior.

Sharpe had a great day with 197 yards through the air while SSU put up 553 yards of total offense in a 41-14 win over their in-state rivals.

And check out this one-handed catch to close the game.
