Earl Lloyd, the first black man to play in the NBA, has died. The former West Virginia State big man was 86 years old.
Lloyd broke the NBA’s Color Line back in 1950 when he played for the Washington Capitols. He helped West Virginia State win back-to-back CIAA titles in 1948 and ’49.
