Virginia State entered Saturday ranked no. 14 in the nation in D2 women’s hoops. But rival Virginia Union gave the Trojan women all they could handle, nearly upsetting them in regulation before Jessica Lyons hit this buzzer-beating three pointer to force overtime. VSU would go on to win 84-79.
